Sharks add Trouba, Nurse to fortify defense, seek offense from Marchment

The San Jose Sharks added defensemen Jacob Trouba and Darnell Nurse through free agency and trade respectively. Forward Mason Marchment signed a five-year contract and 18-year-old Ivar Stenberg was selected No. 2 overall in the 2026 NHL Draft. The team also acquired defenseman Michael Kesselring in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres.
