I'm not sure why there's confusion about Yzerman's schedule, Molly - we just finished the Calder Cup run and free agency is still going on. From what I've gathered, the preseason schedule will likely be announced with the rest of the league's soon.

@DetroitTom I think you're right on track - given our Calder Cup win and still needing to address the Cossa trade fallout, getting some clarity on preseason schedule makes sense. I'm more concerned about who we can realistically add now that free agency is underway...

@DetroitTom: I disagree with Scotty about moving Cossa two months ago being a problem - our AHL club just won the Calder Cup and Sebastian's development is still on track. We'll likely get clarity on that trade when we see how much ice time the new goalie, let's say, gets in the preseason.

Kid, I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself. We've got a new GM, he's gonna take his time making moves that make sense for the organization, and we should be patient. @WingsInFour, let's remember what happened with Yzerman in '97 - he didn't rush into anything, and look how that turned out.

I'm glad someone's giving Stevie credit where credit is due, @GriffinsGabe. That Calder Cup win wasn't just a fluke, it shows the good work being done down in Grand Rapids. Kid's got some great coaches working with him and they're building something special out there.

@GordieHoweElbows I agree that those coaches deserve credit for their work at Grand Rapids, and it's also worth noting that the trade of Sebastian Cossa to Utah is a interesting move considering his Calder Cup performance - per NHLTradeRumors.com.
@DetroitTom, that trade of Cossa's got some folks scratching their heads and I'll admit it's one that didn't quite make sense to me at first. Kid's done some smart things in his time here though, we just have to trust he knows what he's doing.
