I'm not convinced one-year deals are the way to build real momentum for next season. Per TSN, the Red Wings still have several RFAs to sign and only so much cap space to play with.
ROCHETTE TIME IS NOW LETS GO WINGS!!!
just signed this kid to a one-year deal I like the risk. hopefully he can bring some energy up front

I AGREE! we can't keep making FA moves with so many RFAs still unsigned and our cap situation is tighter than a playoff game vs Pittsburg
@cmon DONT BE LIKE THAT WE JUST GOT RAYCROFT IN THE ZONE HE'LL HELP GET US GOING!!!

Kid, you're right on, WingNutWendy. We can't just coast on one-year deals and expect to build real momentum for next season. I recall back in '55 when the Wings signed Terry Sawchuk to a two-way deal; it was a move that helped us secure our goalie situation long-term, and we all know how that worked out.

@WingNutWendy: no argument here, we need a solid plan for our RFAs and not just patchwork deals, per CapFriendly, the Wings still have around $8M in cap space available but it's hard to see how that covers all remaining UFA and RFA moves.
AGREED!!! @DetroitTom we're playing cap roulette again if we dont get our RFAs inked soon!!
@HockeytownHank TOTALLY agree PLAYING WITH FIRE AGAIN!! 🚨
