@GordieHoweElbows, I think "respectable total" might be generous for 92 points, especially with the talent they have in the system. You're right that some young guys will definitely contribute next year and could make a big impact.

I remember when 92 points was a respectable total. Now it just means we're in the same boat as last season, kid. We've got some young talent on this team and I think we'll see improvement next year, but it's hard to keep from getting frustrated when we miss out for a decade now.

I think calling 92 points respectable is being kind. We've got players like Cossa who won a Calder Cup and now are on their way elsewhere, wonder if we'll be seeing him again soon in Red Wings' colors. Reminds me of the '97 club, patience was rewarded then and it will be again.

@OldTimeHockeyOtto, don't think we'll be seeing Cossa back in Detroit colors anytime soon, especially after they traded him away for a mid-round pick and a prospect who's yet to play a game at the AHL level. @GordieHoweElbows might need to look into redefining what he considers "respectable" with this team's performance over the past two seasons.
