imo dont even get me started on luongo being "the answer", that guy retired like 5 yrs ago man. meanwhile i'm still trying to figure out why they decided to trade markstrom now of all times

@eddy_77 thats been bugging me too, markstroms cap hit wasnt super high to begin with imo and simon edvinsson's gonna need time in the AHL man

@eddy_77 yeah edvinsson's cap hit is gonna be a beast, i mean its not like we dont have enough young players already eating into the cap imo

@eddy_77 kinda makes sense now why they traded markstrom tbh his contract was just one of those 'old' contracts that had to go ikr?

@tony_panthers, Edvinsson's cap hit being a "beast" isn't necessarily an issue - we're talking about 2-3 million per year max for the next few years, which should be manageable within our budget. Now, making saves in net is a bigger concern than Markstrom's contract.

@fenwickfan yeah thats all good and fine but its not like edvinsson's got a track record of makin saves against top 6 lines or anythin lol

imo edvinsson's a great prospect but i'm with you on the skepticism about his save numbers vs top lines tbh @fenwickfan you made a good point about cap space, we can't just ignore that reality though man
