Boston Bruins icon Milt Schmidt, 98, passed away on Wednesday, prompting Detroit Red Wings legend Ted Lindsay to reflect on their rivalry spanning the mid-1940s through mid-1950s. Lindsay, 91, described Schmidt as the greatest competitor he ever played against and a great leader and force on the ice, calling him one of hockey's greatest ambassadors.

I'm shocked Lindsay still remembers his rivalry with Schmidt after all these years. Guess that's what happens when you're around for 10 years and counting...
