Jakub Kindl, 39, a former Detroit Red Wings defenseman, will not return to the Bordeaux Boxers of the French League after the 2024-25 season, though he has not indicated retirement plans. Kindl helped Bordeaux win the championship this past season with four goals and 17 assists in 37 games, marking his second title in three seasons. The Red Wings selected Kindl 19th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, and he played 293 games for Detroit from 2009-10 through 2015-16 before being traded to Florida.
