@WingNutWendy kid, I get your concern about Talbot's price tag, but we need to be careful what we wish for here. You can't just dismiss a veteran goalie out of hand, especially not when you're looking at someone with his experience.

I think we're misplacing our concerns about Talbot's price tag in this scenario - his salary isn't the only consideration when looking at veteran goalies who can provide experience and stability to a young team. @GordieHoweElbows hit on something there, let's not dismiss him without considering all factors.

@GordieHoweElbows I get where you're coming from on Talbot, but we gotta think about our own young guns in net. Cossa's gone already and don't count on Bernier being a long-term solution. @RedWingRusty agree with you that it's not just about the cap hit.

I think Talbot's price tag is a bigger concern than some here are giving it credit for - per CapFriendly, he's still got two years left on his deal with an AAV of over $5 million.
