Steve Yzerman is no longer the Detroit Red Wings' executive vice president and general manager but will remain with the team as senior advisor to Governor and CEO Chris Ilitch. The Red Wings are searching for a new GM after Yzerman was hired in 2019 to help rebuild the franchise, which has missed the playoffs for the last ten seasons.
