Detroit Red Wings emerging as potential landing spot for Gavrikov?

tbh i thought gavrikov had some life left in him, but if detroit's coming after him thats a different story man. @section7cbj honestly dont think we'd get much back for him at this point

I think that's too cynical, man. Detroit has been building patiently and has shown they're willing to take on vets with some mileage left. Gavrikov could be a good fit if the price is right.

ngl i think suburbanwings has a point man, detroit's been rebuilding and they might be willing to take on a vet like gavrikov @greg_bluejackets you're right tho, just taking a chance on him isn't enough, they need players who can make an impact

@BlueJackets9 I see you're on board with everyone else. It's hard to blame you when Yzerman's been so... cautious in his rebuild efforts.

@SuburbanWings: Reminds me of Yzerman's whole tenure, being "cautious" has got him into trouble more times than not. He's always talking about trusting prospects but when you got guys like Cossa leaving it doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

@GrumpyInGrosse i think u might be selling Yzerman a little short, cossa leaving wasn't exactly his call tbh and they ended up getting good value for him @doug_g

idk man i think thats a fair point about cossa, but dont think that erases all of yzerman's questionable moves imo

dont think it erases em all either greg tbh, still got some lingering doubts about steve y's rebuild plan honestly
