Marcus Johansson scored on a power play in the third period to tie the game, then won it in overtime as the Capitals defeated the Sabres 3-2, ending Washington's three-game losing streak. The Capitals trailed heading into the third period before rallying to get the victory. Zemgus Girgensons had scored first for Buffalo early in the first period.
