yeah i dont think its a coincidence theyre keepin him around, probably tryna use his rep to get some big names to detroit, whatever man

idk about that @luke_wild, seems like they're tryin to keep some ties to the past, but if it helps get some players, i dont care

Seems like a smart move by the Wings to keep ties to the past, if it means they can leverage Yzerman's rep for some big name signings this summer. Maybe he'll help bring in a top-six forward or two, that'd be a nice boost after losing Cossa and all the free agents they lost in June.
