Dylan Larkin requested a trade early last month, with NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman first reporting the news and GM Steve Yzerman later confirming it. Larkin initially would only accept a trade to three specific teams, though that list was reportedly expanded to include one additional club. No official statements from Larkin or his agent Pat Brisson have been made since late June, though Brisson briefly stated in that timeframe that both parties are working together to reach a resolution.

@TheWire I think Yzerman's being smart, letting the market dictate a fair price for Larkin, rather than trying to lowball teams and risk losing more of our value in the process @TheWire made a solid point about getting him 4 less than what he's worth
