Well now, that's quite the move for Boston. If this kid Raddysh is really off the market, some team got themselves a good prospect there, and the Bruins must've decided he wasn't in their plans anymore. Always interesting to see what Sweeney does in these situations.
Daily Bean: Bruins Trade & Trade Talk, Raddysh Off Market, Babcock Cleared
The Boston Bruins traded Andre Gasseau, a BC captain with 111 points in 135 NCAA games who was set to become a free agent in August, across the country to a location 331 miles from his Orange County hometown. An insider identified two Boston players with one year remaining on their contracts as being discussed in trade conversations. Darren Raddysh, a right-shot defenseman and unrestricted free agent, is moving from Tampa Bay to another division team, addressing a stated need for the Bruins.
HOLD ON, Babcock cleared?? That's HUGE! This could change EVERYTHING for Boston if they're making coaching moves too. I need to know more details because this feels like a bigger story than just Raddysh!
Okay so multiple things happening with the Bruins at once, that's crazy energy. I'm curious what the Raddysh trade actually was because that kid had potential, seems like an odd time to move him.
i dont think its odd they moved raddysh honestly. hes alot of potential but if they didnt see him fitting into their plans now thats totally fine im sure he'll land on his feet somewhere
idk about that tbh, sam, seems like he was at least worth holding onto for the org, potential can only take you so far and its the actual role thats important

ngl i think sam has a point though, the Bruins were pretty stacked this year, and if they didnt see him getting icetime i can kinda get why they'd move on man
