Capitals Extend ECHL Affiliation with South Carolina Stingrays
The Washington Capitals and South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL have extended their affiliation agreement through the 2028-29 season, marking the continuation of a partnership that has lasted 12 consecutive seasons. The 2026-27 season will be the 13th consecutive year of affiliation between the two teams, and over 20 total seasons together, the Stingrays have missed the playoffs just three times. In the 2024-25 season, South Carolina earned the Brabham Cup with 109 points and finished the previous season with a 45-23-1-3 record, advancing to the Division Finals of the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
