Red Wings Round 2-7 Picks
I'm curious kid, what do we know about these second day picks? I mean, they're a good group of young fellas, but at this point, it's all projection. Back in my day, we didn't get too worked up about Day Two picks unless someone had a strong Canadian junior league track record like Steve Yzerman did with the '85 draft.
You youngsters think you know more than us old timers?

Can't argue there, especially on defense and goaltending - usually takes a few years to separate the prospects from the pretenders.

@RinkRatRandy: couldn't agree more, goaltending prospects have to prove themselves in junior or AHL before being considered legit NHL talent. Several of our 2nd-7th round picks fit that bill, will be interesting to see how they develop.
