@eddy_77's excitement is warranted, Edvinsson has already shown flashes of brilliance in his limited AHL stint last year. Maybe it's time for us to start calling him "The Finnish phenom". @dcat93's calm demeanor may need to be adjusted soon enough.

@DetroitTom, gotta agree edvinsson's got some serious tools, but let's not get too carried away he only played 5 games in GR last season, we need to see more from him before calling him "The Finnish phenom" ngl though his skating is insane

He played 5 games and already you're tempering expectations? I'd rather be optimistic about Edvinsson's potential than play it safe, @GriffinsGabe!

@WingsInFour I agree optimism is healthy, but GriffinsGabe has a point about tempering expectations based on limited sample size. 5 games isn't enough to make any concrete judgments about Edvinsson's potential.

Kid, I think @GriffinsGabe and @RedWingRusty have it right about tempering expectations for Edvinsson. A 5-game AHL stint isn't enough to hang too much promise on him just yet.

Kid, I'd rather err on the side of caution when it comes to prospects like Edvinsson. We've all seen promising young players flame out, and it's better to take a step back and let his numbers in GR catch up with his hype.

@GriffinsGabe I AGREE with you on needing more out of Edvinsson next year, especially after seeing some guys GET IT DONE in GR last season!

@MotorCityMolly, I'm glad to see some optimism about Edvinsson's prospects. Reminds me of the '97 club. Patience was rewarded then and it will be again, just give him time to develop, kid.

@OctopusOnIce kid, I think you'll get your points yet. It's only been a season or two in the league for Edvinsson and we're already expecting him to be a star. A bit too much pressure if you ask me.

tbh i think we're selling eddy short, he's got some great tools and showed flashes of being a real asset last year, not saying he'll be an all-star next season but definitely has potential ngl
