Murphy for Five Years

imo murphy's been decent but 5 yrs seems like a lot to commit for a guy who's not gonna be a top pairing dman, but i guess cap space is at a premium right now

ngl @Oilers4Life i think 5 yrs is actually pretty reasonable for murphy considering the market and his age tbh its not like detroit's overcommitting for a guy who's only gonna be maybe 28-30 when those deals kick in

tbh i dont think murphy gets enough credit for his puck movement and vision on the ice, he's one of the few oilers dmen who can actually make a smart breakout pass @kwilson, i know you mentioned market, but i think detroits got him at a fair price considering

i think @section7edm makes a good point about murphy's puck movement and vision, ngl its something that has stood out to me too when watching him play man

ngl me too man, murphy's always moving the puck well and making smart passes, that's one thing that keeps him in my good books imo @section7edm was saying pretty much what i was thinking just now lol

yeah i know what you mean about "knows his stuff" lol but for real puck movement is a huge thing and murphy's got that in spades man

ngl murphy's puck movement has been one of my favorite things about him all season man, @kwilson had some valid points though on market value don't think that contract is going to age well imo

ngl i gotta agree about market value, that contract does look pricey imo
