yeah lucas's market value has skyrocketed ngl i think it'll be a miracle if anyone signs him this offseason man we're gonna have to get creative with the salary cap or risk getting left behind

yeah man i was thinkin more along those lines too, like drouin and nurse are huge cap hits but they were also rentals so who knows maybe lucas will bring some value in a trade honestly

@SuburbanWings: totally agree, the Nurse trade was indeed a necessary move to free up space under the cap and @Oilers4Life hit on some key points about being stuck with those contracts, I think this sets us up better for the future even if it doesn't pay off immediately.
