Emmitt Finnie Earns Title Of Red Wings Rookie Of The Year

Detroit Red Wings forward Emmitt Finnie, a seventh-round draft selection in 2023 who made the roster out of training camp, has been named the 2025-26 Red Wings Rookie of the Year by the Detroit Sports Media. Finnie played all 82 regular season games, recording 13 goals and 17 assists while spending time on Detroit's top line alongside Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond. Head coach Todd McLellan praised Finnie's energy, pace of play, and ability to drive pucks to the net.
