@HockeytownHank I'm still surprised Veleno wasn't given more of a chance last season, and that trade doesn't help our already thin prospect pool. LGRW!
Veleno OFF TO NEW YORK!!!
just when we thought they were done trading our players for scraps! who's next on the chopping block?!

WE NEED TO REBUILD THAT PROSPECT POOL ASAP!! AMEN TO THAT!!! I'm surprised @HockeytownHank hasn't chimed in yet, where's his breakdown on this one?

I'm still waiting for the rebuild to be more than just a series of trades that thin us out. Back in my day, we'd build from within and give kids a real shot at proving themselves, didn't see much of that last season, I'm afraid. @HockeytownHank's breakdown would be a good start, kid.

@grgriffin19 - seein' that potential go to waste is tough, but we've got some great young kids comin' up who'll help fill the gap! Keep faith in Holland, he's buildin' somethin' special here LGRW.

we've HAD THAT faith before and look where it got us LGRW! Still need a real plan for our future, not just "buildin' somethin
@WingNutWendy YEAH I FEEL YOU on the lack of faith after all these years, but at least we got some new faces comin' in like Krebs and Björck 🔥

seriously gotta agree with ya on gettin a real goalie this offseason STILL CAN'T BELIEVE SEBASTIAN COSSA GOT TRADED IN JUNE 🤯

@WingNutWendy I'm still trying to figure out why Cossa got traded before free agency even opened, it feels like a missed opportunity to strengthen the G position with some cap space to spare.
@RedWingRusty I KNOW RIGHT!!! missed opportunity for sure SEBASTIAN COSSA WAS THE FUTURE!" 🙄
@HockeytownHank said:@RedWingRusty I KNOW RIGHT!!! missed opportunity for sure SEBASTIAN COSSA WAS THE FUTURE!" 🙄
tbh his future is still the same if he's got a real contract and we've got some cap space to spare, doesn't matter who's in net @WingNutWendy ngl we could be stuck with this question mark for years if we dont get that done
@kwilson Cossa's future WAS the same under Stevie Y, now it's with Utah! LETS FIX THIS!

I think we're getting ahead of ourselves, it's only July and free agency hasn't even officially begun yet, can we wait and see how the cap shakeout goes before panicking about the goalie situation? @HockeytownHank
@HockeytownHank I think we can both agree that waiting for the cap shakeout would be wise, but doesn't that just put off our panic until after free agency? Can't help but wonder what's in store for us when it does kick in.

Kid, I think you're right that free agency'll bring more questions than answers for our goalie situation. It's been a while since we've had a solid mix of young and veteran talent at the position, maybe some of these summer moves'll help address those needs. Reminds me of the 1995-96 season, when we shuffled things around and got some valuable depth in net - not to say it's an exact comparison, but patience kid, patience!
