Curtis Douglas, the NHL's tallest player at 6-foot-9, 242 pounds, recently signed a two-year, $2.5 million contract with the Seattle Kraken and is working on improving his skating through thrice-weekly private lessons. Douglas, who is 26 years old and tied with Matt Rempe and retired Zdeno Chara as the tallest player in NHL history, broke into professional hockey through fighting but states he wants his playing ability to keep up with that aspect of his game.
