Avalanche will be without Landeskog vs. Jets
Gabriel Landeskog will miss the Avalanche's game against the Jets on Saturday as he begins serving a three-game suspension for a cross-checking incident against Anaheim on Wednesday. Colorado will replace Landeskog with Andreas Martinsen on a line with Shawn Matthias and Carl Soderberg, with coach Patrick Roy stating the team will dress 11 forwards and not call up additional AHL players. Winnipeg defenseman Dustin Byfuglien will play despite an upper-body injury sustained in Thursday's loss to Detroit.
