The Anaheim Ducks matched an offer sheet from Philadelphia for Leo Carlsson, keeping the player under contract through the 2030-31 season, General Manager Pat Verbeek announced Thursday. Verbeek stated negotiations with Carlsson's agent began in September, continued through the season and until July 1st, after which he informed ownership an offer sheet could be forthcoming. The Ducks had sufficient salary cap space to accept offer sheets and were prepared to match any offer, according to Verbeek.
