edler still had moments man he just can't be expected to keep up with these kids anymore

idk man edler had some good stretches towards the end of last year and his D is still better than what we're seeing from some of our other guys tbh @section7van

yeah i know what u mean about edler's D still being better than some of ours, but imo its not just about D anymore, we need guys who can keep up with the play and make smart decisions ngl @nick_canucks

You're being a bit too harsh on Edler, don't get me wrong I think we need some real defensemen around here @nick_canucks, but these guys just aren't the same as they were back in their prime @section7van. You can't expect 30 year olds to keep up with the game now, it's a whole different animal.

@nick_canucks, I think it's a bit more complex than saying Edler can still be a top-4 guy if he just keeps up with the play. Reminds me of the '97 club. Patience was rewarded then and it will be again, but I'm not convinced we have the luxury to stick with it this season.

@Canucks2 dont think schenn's better than edler right now man, i like edlers hockey IQ still and he knows where to be even if his legs are gone.

i think you're underselling edler man hes stil alot smarter on ice than schenn even if his speed isnt wht is was teh problem with edler this year tho @SaltyScotty
