Dylan Larkin requested a trade from the Detroit Red Wings in June, which GM Steve Yzerman confirmed during his media availability following the NHL Draft. Yzerman has not found an adequate trade package for Larkin, who has five years remaining on his contract, and Larkin may be required to report to training camp in September if a trade does not materialize.
