IS LARKIN GONE?

Kid, I think it's too early for panic. Larkin's camp presented a wish list and Yzerman didn't shut the door on trade talks completely. That doesn't necessarily mean our captain is gone, but we'll see what August brings.

@GordieHoweElbows gotta agree Larkin's camp put up a wish list but Yzerman didn't say no trade dead on arrival so we'll see come August for sure!

i don't think we should be reading into this too much yet, i mean yzerman's gotta make some hard decisions and if larkin's camp is putting out feelers its just part of the negotiation process imo

Kid, I don't know if you saw Larkin's numbers last season but I DO KNOW we can't afford to lose him PERIOD! LETS GO WINGS, SIGN HIM BACK ASAP!!

I think we should be reading into this a little more than GriffinsGabe suggests - if Larkin's camp is putting out feelers it implies they're serious about getting their wish list met and Yzerman didn't exactly shut the door on those talks. It seems like a genuine leverage move from the player's side, per ESPN.

I think the word "okay" is a big deal here! Larkin's camp didn't get turned down flat out, so there's hope we can keep our captain. @HockeytownHank let's be real, Larkin's numbers were awesome last year and he's got 5 more years left on that contract, no way do I think Yzerman lets him walk!
