Blackhawks forced to find solutions after Bedard injury
The Chicago Blackhawks announced Wednesday that star center Connor Bedard underwent surgery on his left shoulder for an injury sustained during a July 2 practice in Vancouver and is expected to be out until November. Bedard led the Blackhawks in scoring in each of his first three seasons, recording 75 points in 69 games last season, and the team will need contributions from players like Nazar, Byram, and Kantserov to fill the offensive void during his absence. General manager Kyle Davidson said last week there was no update on contract talks with the restricted free agent.
