The Red Wings visit the Islanders on Friday evening, with Detroit goalie Petr Mrazek expected to start. New York's Johnny Boychuk, who missed 18 games with a lower-body injury, was activated from injured reserve Friday and is hoped to return; the Islanders have the worst defense in the NHL and allowed at least four goals in 14 of their past 18 games.
