I'm not surprised we're seeing this noise around Larkin given the recent Tkachuk trade and Yzerman's history of making tough decisions to get under the cap. We need a return with term, otherwise I think his departure becomes a lot more likely in my book.

@GordieHoweElbows calm down kid, I've been saying we'd make some big moves under the radar this summer! Larkin's gotta be a part of those plans if we're serious about competing.
@WingsInFour, kid, you can't just assume Larkin's part of the plans without anything coming to fruition first. What makes you think Yzerman would trade his captain before giving him a proper shot at extension talks? Maybe I'm too old-fashioned, but patience was always the key when I played for the Red Wings.
