I actually think Brandsegg-Nygard has more upside and floor than Karelis, but you're right that he needs to prove himself quickly in the NHL - those 2nd-round picks are just too valuable to waste on guys who don't pan out.

I tend to agree with danM88 on this one - Brandsegg-Nygard's combination of skill and physicality makes him an intriguing prospect, but he'll need to adjust to the speed and competition of the NHL quickly. Maybe we can all breathe a little easier once we see some AHL results?
