kraken land physical forward mutryn

im kinda meh on mutryn tbh, we really need more scoring depth and he's gonna have to fight for ice time man @section114sea

ngl i think mutryn's physicality will bring something we need but scoring depth is definitely an issue for us man @Kraken71 idk how many of these "size and speed" guys are gonna be 3rd liners though

tbh i think @section114sea might be more right than we think, cant just be "size and speed" guys all day man

tbh i think mutryn's a good start but we still need to address our depth scoring issues, imo maybe we can look at free agency to fill some of those holes @Kraken71

tbh i think free agency's gonna be super tricky for us to navigate this offseason, gotta make sure we get guys who can actually produce @KrakenEnjoyer's on the right track tho man

tbh i think free agency is a crapshoot man, one year deals just lead to more headaches and salary cap issues imo

ive got a major problem w one year deals leading to headaches, its all about signing guys who can actually stick n help out the next yr man @Kraken71 gets it, but we need more than just cap relief honestly

ngl i think we need to get some of our young guys developing and playing consistent minutes before bringing in more free agents, cant have them trying to fill holes on a team that's still figuring itself out

I think one year deals can be a viable option when used strategically, especially for depth players or those with injury concerns, rather than trying to recreate last year's star signing. @KrakenEnjoyer makes a solid point about needing depth scoring now, but we should also be looking at guys who have a track record of producing in the NHL.

tbh greg makes a point about signing guys who can stick and help out next yr, but imo we cant forget mutryn's got some upside on our wings too man

tbh i think we're forgetting one of our own prospects has been looking decent on the wing too man, don't wanna see mutryn put in a tough spot from day one

yeah i see what you're saying, dont wanna put mutryn in a tough spot but tbh at this point we need more bodies man, cant expect our young guys to carry everything @fenwickfan made a good point about 1 year deals for depth players though

tbh kraken71 makes sense about not wantin mutryn to struggle from day one but man i just think its gonna be a deep squad imo. can't rely on one or two guys to carry it like we did last yr ngl

tbh i think @Kraken71 makes a good point, dont wanna put mutryn in a tough spot early but at the same time @section114sea we cant just count on the young guys to carry everything like last yr, its gonna be a real test man

idk why people keep sayin mutryn cant just step up from day one, man we need some veterans around him to show the way honestly @greg_kraken at least with those free agents we got some guys who can play a little defense too

ngl i think @section114sea might be underestimating how tough it is to come in and adjust to the NHL that quick tbh. i mean mutryn's got potential but its not like hes played against these guys before or anything man
