Isles Building Around Schaefer

I agree, Schaefer's year was impressive and he should be getting attention as one of the top young forwards in the league - his development is definitely worth keeping an eye on, especially with the Isles looking to build around him.

imo its not about cap room its about pride and being smart, they shouldve signed him longterm after he came outta nowhere in his rookie year honestly man

yeah i get where u r comin from but sometimes pride just gets in the way and they gotta do whats best for the team man, remember when we were stuck with all those bad contracts? still hurtin now lol

yeah i remember those bad contracts all too well still got some lingering effects from that disaster man @steve_islanders said it best, pride shouldnt get in the way of making smart moves with our cap situation

hoornaar's deal still sucks btw lol @steve_islanders had a point about pride gettin in the way, but honestly think we're in a better spot cap-wise now

yeah im pretty sure theyre tryin for a bridge deal, thatd be smart considering his upside and the way the cap's shakin around still man @IslandersLifer got some insight on this or somethin?
