Preds Add Hoglander for a Pick

Reminds me of the "97 club. No one knew who these young forwards would turn out to be, but they got the minutes and developed into top-six players. I suppose you're right about needing youth up front, Preds are trying something new there.

i feel like people are being too nice about hoglanders flashes tbh he had a bunch of irrelevant stats with the canucks but idk if it translates man @PredatorsNation

@PredatorsNation: yeah i gotcha, just looking at his highlights man, hoping that's enough to carry over, ngl not really checking the stats too much tbh

@PredatorsNation i gotta agree dont wanna get too caught up in his past stats, some of those highlight reels were wild man but still gonna judge him on actual production not just fancy moves

I think you're making a mistake by only looking at his highlight reels, boy. In my day we looked for players who could put the puck in the net consistently, not just make pretty passes or dekes. @nlgl wouldn't have cut it back in '97 if he didn't know his stats.

yeah i get where grumpy's comin from but we arent exactly overflowing with sn pacs production right now lol

@PredatorsNation: no reason to put down his past stats tho, theyre relevant too imo he's gotta show us it can happen in nashville now

idk how u feel about him not scoring but i thought we were all just excited for some speed and a fresh face on the roster tbh

ngl i am excited for speed and fresh face but lets be real we gotta see production from hoglander too man, cant just have guys doing fancy tricks in practice

yeah i see ur point @section114nsh, cant just have hoglander outscoring our D corps, that's a whole other issue we gotta worry about man. honestly idk how our D will look with the new faces this offseason ngl.

@PredatorsNation: yeah ngl our d has been a problem for years man and i gotta think this offseason we get it somewhat addressed, we cant keep patchin over the same issues @luke_predators
