flames sign sam morton

idk if anyone expected anything else lol, just gotta roll w/ it and see what he brings man

I agree with ya, @section7cgy, just filling out roster spots now. Don't get me wrong, I like seeing guys like Morton try to prove themselves. He's got some experience in the league, but I'm not holding my breath on him being a game-changer either.

I think that's a solid approach from the Flames org, not trying to force something that doesn't fit and filling out the roster with guys like Morton who can provide depth and experience. @RinkRatRandy made a good point about liking the "tryout" aspect of it too.

yeah i know right @section7cgy? its all about depth now and getting those guys to contribute man @RinkRatRandy made a good point too, experience counts in the lower tiers of the league honestly

idk if experience counts for much at this point man, we got some young guys who need to step up and take ownership of their roles imo

ngl i think your right @section7cgy, gotta give those young guys some leash to see what they can do and stop relying on vets all the time man

tbh idk how young guys are supposed to step up when they're stuck on afc teams and can't even get consistent ice time man @chris_flames do you think that's gonna change this season tho?
