Kid, I don't think you can just "make over" goaltending like it's a car that needs a tune-up. We've got some young guys who are itching for a chance, and I think our coaching staff could do more to get them ready for the big leagues.

yeah kid goaltending is way deeper than a tune-up, our young guys need games man, cant keep throwing them against the wall and saying they just need "more coaching" honestly imo

@Flyers9 yeah I'd say Huges is a good 2 years away from being legit starter and we're gonna be stuck giving him rope at the helm again this season because nobody wants to waste a high pick on a goalie who actually has a future with us sighs in text.

@Flyers9 i dont think hes even a year away honestly imo he looks decent but consistency is key and right now its just not there man

yeah cant disagree more on hughes man, he's shown some flashes but we just can't keep giving him starts when hes still so far off imo, @Flyers9 i think you're being kinda harsh on the kid, he's still got a lot to learn but what's the alternative at this point

I agree that Hughes needs some time in Lehigh Valley, at this point it's just a numbers game with his ice time and I think he'll benefit from being in a more pressure-free environment, like I said before these kids wouldn't last a shift in '97. Reminds me of the days when a prospect actually had to earn their keep on the farm before getting called up.

ugh i know ur tryin to be hard on hughes @Flyers9 but imo he got thrown into a tough spot last season and needs a fresh start in lehigh tbh he's still only 20 man
