I think you're right, we always manage to dig ourselves out of a cap hole somehow. Still, I'm more concerned about the defense we have left over if Werensski does go than where we are cap-wise. At least Werenski's a physical presence.

We've managed to dig ourselves out of a cap hole somehow? That's like saying we've got magic beans in the farm system! At least Werenski's a D-man who actually finishes his check, unlike some of the softies we're trotting out there now. @RinkRatRandy, you're right about our defense, that's what should be keeping us up at night, not just the cap number.

I think you're spot on, @BlueJacketsHopeful! Trusting JPJ and company is exactly what we need to see this rebuild through - sometimes it's about having faith in the plan, even when things get tight financially. @GrumpyInGrosse makes a good point about Werenski's importance too...

im glad someone finally sees sense man, being on the cap edge is already stressful enough without having to worry about trading away our best guys @SuburbanWings im sure JPJ has a plan tbh, we just gotta trust him and hope it works out somehow

yeah idk how werenski's value is perceived but if we keep trading away our best guys for some cap relief it'll be a long time before we're a contender again, ngl @BlueJackets9

yeah i know werenski's value is low rn tbh he's been pretty meh last year and we've got some up n coming dmen @BlueJacketsHopeful idk if people realize that yet

i think that's a big part of it, just trusting the plan and seeing where it takes us, idk if people remember but we've been pretty close with some of our young guys stepping up @SuburbanWings
