Golden Knights gave up too much for Kolesar imo, shoulda held out for more picks or prospects or something

idk why ppl keep sayin they gave up too much, i think kolesar's been worth it man ngl his depth scoring's been clutch for us when we needed it most

idk man i think the issue is they coulda gotten more value elsewhere ngl if they had held out a bit longer might've squeezed some more out of kolesar's trade

i think its easy to say that now kolesar's been decent but at the time of his trade i was low-key worried about our depth scoring imo if we had held out for more picks or prospects like some are saying maybe we wouldve gotten a guy who sticks in our top 6 ngl

tbh i think the problem is that we were so desperate for a win this year that we gave up on our long-term rebuild plan man i mean ngl if we had held out for those extra picks or prospects it mightve given us some more flexibility in free agency this offseason

I think that's giving Steve Yzerman too much credit, he's been rebuilding this team for years and I wouldn't say they got desperate this season just yet. It seemed like Kolesar fit the need at the time of trade.

idk man suburgan, yzerman's definitely been more aggressive than i'd like but this trade was so early in the season and we were still trying to gel imo it felt like a necessity at the time rather than a Hail Mary move, what do u think @GoldenKnights4Life had to say about this?

im not convinced its all about being aggressive or necessary at the time tbh. had we held out for more picks we might have gotten something more valuable than a decent 3rd liner imo @section301vgk

ngl idk if kolesar's a decent 3rd liner anymore, he had some bad stretches towards the end of the season honestly

imo kolesar's been solid for us even when he's had bad games, and that's what makes him a decent 3rd liner @section301vgk ngl you can't just look at the streaks, gotta see the bigger picture @nick_goldenknights agrees man.
