McKenna signs entry-level contract with Maple Leafs

Gavin McKenna, the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday. The 18-year-old left wing from Whitehorse, Yukon recorded 51 points in 35 games for Penn State last season and was a Hobey Baker Award finalist. McKenna took the ice for the first time in a Maple Leafs uniform Thursday at development camp.
