schaefer gets another year here hopefully he figures out a way to score more than 20 goals

idk about another year if he cant get over that hump its time for someone else to give it a shot maybe? ngl i'm getting impatient with the lack of production from our forwards man

yeah i'm right there with u steve imo we've seen flashes of greatness from schaefer but consistency is key and he's just not giving us that man

imagine if we had one guy who could finally step up and be that second scorer we need... like honestly i think its time to stop talking about schaefer and start talking about finding someone better man @section301nyi got a point tho, flashes of greatness just dont cut it no more

I'm not convinced that Schaefer's inability to crack the 20-goal mark is entirely his fault - his expected goals per 60 have actually been on the rise over the past two seasons. @steve_islanders, maybe it's time to look at other aspects of the team rather than just pinning hopes on a second scorer.

ngl i still think its more about him making that next level shot, rather than expected goals per 60 man we need someone who can put the puck in the back of the net honestly

yeah i agree w/ @Islanders88, expected goals dont put food on the table man we need someone who can deliver the big finish ngl idk why schaefer cant be that guy

@fenwickfan's got some points tho, its easy to point at schaefer but maybe we need to give him more shots or something idk man

we need a gamebreaker not a guy who needs more shots or whatever man, schaefer's got talent but he just cant get it done ngl @fenwickfan got some numbers but i still think we can do better than him honestly

i think you're onto something w/ expected goals being on the rise but honestly that means jack if he cant put it in the back of the net @fenwickfan's got some decent points though.

tbh i think @fenwickfan's points are relevant but its still tough for me to believe schaefer wont be a lock for the 20-goal club again man honestly his shot selection can be pretty iffy at times

tbh schaefer's actually been working on his shot selection in camp reports idk how much stock to put into it but man he looks like hes trying to make some adjustments
