Keegan Kolesar can help Red Wings shed soft as Charmin rep
The Detroit Red Wings acquired physical forward Keegan Kolesar from the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday to address the team's reputation for being soft and lacking toughness. Kolesar, a 6-2, 216-pound right wing who ranks among the NHL's leading hitters and has 36 fighting majors in six seasons, said he aims to bring a veteran presence and hard-nosed identity to the team. The Red Wings sent third- and seventh-round picks to Vegas for the 29-year-old, who spent his entire career with the Golden Knights, winning the Stanley Cup in 2023.
