The New York Rangers acquired 25-year-old forward Pavel Dorofeyev from the Vegas Golden Knights on June 26 and signed him to a seven-year, $77 million contract, sending Vegas the No. 26 and No. 92 picks in the 2026 NHL Draft plus a top-10 protected first-round pick in 2028. General manager Chris Drury said the acquisition aligns with the roster retool plan announced in January aimed at making the team younger and faster, citing Dorofeyev's goal-scoring production as a specific need the Rangers targeted.
