i think lysell's upside is worth taking a shot on, even if it means moving ivan tbh @jen_avalanche man gotta remember those were some weird contracts we signed in the past and this might be us cleaning that up somehow

idk man lyzell's upside is pretty intriguing but we gotta remember he's a kid who played like 20 games in the nhl last season

ngl @Avalanche9 has a point about lyzell's NHL experience tho i think his summer skating and dev camp numbers are saying something too man

@Avalanche9, think everyone's focusing too much on NHL experience and not enough on his junior numbers and tools - he had an elite shooting % in the Dub last year and I'd argue that's what really caught the team's eye with him.

ngl dan i gotta disagree man, elite shooting % is one thing but u gotta be able to put it in the nhl and lyzell just didnt show me that last season imo

think u might be selling lyzell short @section114col tbh, he did have some decent looks last season and his size/shot combo is intriguing to me man

tbh i love his size/shot combo too, but im still trying to figure out how this trade is good for the avs man. think we're giving up a whole lot of potential just yet

i think we're putting a lot of stock into this trade being some huge overhaul for the avs, but imo its still early man. nhl experience is overrated sometimes, and lyzell might just need another season in the minors to get dialed in

nghlyzell needs some time in the minors like everyone else man, its not a magic fix or anything @danM88 brought up his junior numbers and yeah theyre nice but thats exactly why i think he could've used more seasoning before getting shipped out of rags

i gotta disagree @Avalanche9, those junior numbers arent exactly meaningless, and lyzell showing he can put it in the show is a pretty big deal for me man
