Red Wings fill a few needs in free agency; Kane explores market

The Detroit Red Wings signed left wing Viktor Arvidsson to a two-year deal at $5 million annually, acquired right wing Keegan Kolesar from Vegas for draft picks, and signed backup goalie Daniil Tarasov to a one-year, $2 million contract to address roster needs. The team also signed depth defenseman Jacob Bryson and re-signed winger Carter Mazur to a two-year extension. The Red Wings remain in talks with Patrick Kane regarding a potential re-signing as of Wednesday night.
