The New York Rangers have signed defenseman Dennis Cholowski to a two-year contract, according to an announcement by GM Chris Drury. Cholowski, 28, split the 2025-26 season between the New Jersey Devils, where he recorded two assists in 17 games, and the AHL's Utica Comets, where he had five assists in 13 games. The defenseman has appeared in 173 career NHL games across five teams, including the Detroit Red Wings, and was originally drafted by Detroit in the first round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
