The Daily: Red Wings Harder to Play Against After Day One of Free Agency
The Red Wings signed backup goaltender Daniil Tarasov and forward Viktor Arvidsson on the first day of free agency on July 1, and acquired forward Keenan Kolesar from Vegas in exchange for future third and seventh round picks. The team re-signed Carter Mazur to an $875k contract while continuing to work on resolving the Dylan Larkin trade situation, which remains unresolved as Minnesota and Vegas have not offered the assets Detroit is seeking. Latvian forward Eduards Tralmaks, who was with the Grand Rapids Griffins organization, signed a two-way contract with the Edmonton Oilers.
