Former Red Wings defenseman will play for ninth different team

Erik Gustafsson signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Los Angeles Kings after spending two seasons in the Detroit Red Wings organization. The move will mark Gustafsson's ninth NHL team. Gustafsson appeared in only two games with the Red Wings last season and was waived at the start of the season before spending most of his time with their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins.
