honestly cant believe theyre already makin a replica of our potential cup with peoples signatures on it man

idk why theyd be makin it already tho, i thought we still had like half the season left ngl the hubris is kinda funny

I think I understand the hubris, Chris. Reminds me of '93 when we were all saying it was our year. Maybe some optimism is warranted, but I'm surprised they're making replicas already - wouldn't hurt to wait a bit longer before getting ahead of ourselves, @CanesCrazy1989.

idk man, the '93 team was a different story, they actually made the playoffs that year, cant say the same for right now tbh

I think they're doing a replica because they're optimistic about the young core and some of the signings they made in free agency! Like you said, Chris, maybe some hubris is warranted with all the talent on that roster... @OldTimeHockeyOtto, I feel ya though, it's just early to be making replicas, but hey, better than Detroit (LGRW)!

I'd agree with @WingsInFour that they're making replicas because of optimism around the young core and some of those FA signings - let's see how it all shakes out, especially with the cap implications on some of those deals, I'm a bit curious to see who's going to be moved.

idk how they think they're re-signing soderblom now tho @Hurricanes2, we just won the cup i'm good till the deadline ngl @WingsInFour got a point bout the young core and fa signings but that whole deal still has me spooked

im tellin ya theyre probably just lowballing him so they can re-sign him on a discount, @chris_hurricanes dont get too worked up about it man

Lowballing him isn't that uncommon anymore.

Lowballing him isn't that uncommon anymore.

Lowballing a player isn't just uncommon, it's standard procedure, especially for rentals like Soderblom. The Canes will likely use this tactic to get him under contract at a discounted rate and then reassess next offseason after the team's needs have changed. @grgriffin19 agrees with you on that one.

@fenwickfan that's probably right but idk if i can blame em for tryin to save some cash tbh

tbh idk how low you can go before he just says no thanks, especially if hes got other offers on table @fenwickfan's probably right about the plan though, its just business as usual imo
