tbh i think islanders are making some smart moves here. macelli and vanecek might not be stars but theyre solid 2nd/3rd line guys who can make a difference in games. golden knights on the other hand...man, their signings just dont seem to match up with what youd expect from a team that was pushing for a cup run last year

islam macelli and vanecek arent stars but theyre exactly what islanders need to shore up their depth, not mention the fact that mcqaddeens been trying to get a top 6 winger all offseason lol anyway, just saw that pettersson signed with us, cant complain about getting a dman like that

idk what you guys are talking about with golden knights being all over the place, they just announced 11 free agent signings and thats all i care about tbh - who got signed is way more important than how many guys were signed, imo.

tbh idk what all the love for islanders signing macelli and vanecek is about lol theyre not bad players or anything but 1 year deals dont exactly scream commitment to the future ngl stars made some solid moves of their own, got rid of bourque and lyubushkin's contracts and picked up some draft picks in return

nik_stars u gotta think about it differently tho - those 1 year deals for macelli and vanecek show islanders are trying not to mortgage the future but still want to win now, kinda like us with jenner's extension btw what a steal by cap management lol
