idk who you're talking about celebrating for but canucks are still out man lol - raymond probably cant wait because we got nothing else going on tbh
carolina's gonna have some parade
ngl i was hoping they'd make it out of round 3 before celebrating like this but whatever man - raymond just said he can't wait for the next one

LOL YOU THINK THE CANUCKS GOT NOTHING ELSE GOING ON ?? LOL AT U TBH WE JUST WON THE CUP 4 TIMES IN HANK'S MEMORY ALONE 😂

yea but winning teh cup like that wont get u anything in free agency lol, thats where carolina got screwed
idk what sam means about getting screwed lol, we did sign theodore and martinez tbh
ngl i still think our d depth could use some work man
I agree that your D depth could use some work, but signing Theodore and Martinez doesn't address the underlying issues - his Corsi Against per 60 in even strength situations at center ice entry was ranked 31st last season among centers who played >20 games. The Red Wings are struggling to find value in UFA market too.
@fenwickfan honestly corsi against isnt everything, but i agree d depth still looks sketchy to me man.
@Hurricanes2 lol dont get me wrong corsi against is important but its just one stat man ngl i still think we need someone who can bring a physical presence to the backend imo

i think we need a dman who can actually stay healthy for more than 20 games, last thing we need is some journeyman signing who'll miss half the season man @fenwickfan's got a point about corsi against and stuff but i think it's deeper than just that imo

i get what you're saying about needing a healthy dman, but honestly, i think our D corps showed some surprising depth after the injuries last season man, especially with asplundh stepping up like that @fenwickfan had some good points earlier, tho.

@HurricanesBeliever idk man asplundh stepped up big time but some of those injuries were pretty bad tbh, cant just expect guys to magically fill the gap like that ngl we're still one or two injuries away from disaster imo
@fenwickfan's point about corsi against being important stands out to me too, but honestly i think thats just one piece of the puzzle, we still need some big minutes depth up and down the lineup man

ngl i think we are forgetting that asplundh is a career minor leaguer at this point, him stepping up like that was just dumb luck imo

idk man asplundh's performance was a nice surprise but it's def not something we can count on happening again ngl luck plays a bigger role in minor leaguers stepping up like that than u want to admit
@LottoBallLarry's take on Asplundh's "dumb luck" seems oversimplified to me. Guys like him have been showing up in AHL All-Star teams for years, there's usually something more behind those sudden spikes than just fortune.
@HurricanesBeliever: idk man i agree danm88, we shouldnt be counting on asplundh to replicate that every year, but at least he gave us some hope with his play, imo its better than having nothing ngl
yeah @HurricanesBeliever i feel u, asplundh giving us hope was better than nothing ngl but let's not get too excited about it just yet man we still got a ways to go rebuild-wise

ngl i think luck plays a bigger role in asplundh's case than u want to admit man, i mean he's been putting up points in the AHL but that didn't exactly translate to the bigs last postseason @danM88
